What is Greys Matter?

Greys Matter is a resource for owners of pet Greyhounds. It might also be of interest to those who treat pet Greyhounds.

Anyone who's ever owned a Greyhound knows they're not quite like other dogs. Their differences are part of what makes them great.

For vets treating them, Greyhounds sometimes seem like a completely separate species. Vets with a special interest in Greyhounds have tended to work mainly with racing and breeding dogs. They're been like the vet equivalent of sports medicine doctors and fertility specialists (note that there's no such thing as a registered specialist in any dog breed). But as the incidence of Greyhounds as pets has increased and they're being seen more and more in general vet practices, there's a need for everyone to become better informed about the issues pet Greyhounds face. 

That's why Dr Bec Goode created Greys Matter.

Who is Dr Bec?

Bec is a veterinarian with a passion for pet Greyhounds. Actually, she's pretty much nuts for all animals, but Greys are extra special.

Bec runs the GAP veterinary clinic in Seymour – where she sees thousands of beautiful Greys going to new homes. Many (if not most) of these new homes have not had a Greyhound before. 

Bec really wants new parents to have the information they need to keep their pet Grey healthy and happy, so on top of her work with GAP she's created Greys Matter, where people can find answers to their questions.
